H1B transfer - can I work for old employer after transfer?

Hi,
I am currently working in company A. I accepted an offer from company B who is currently processing my H1 B transfer. Due to some unexpected circumstances I wish to remain in company A itself. Can I continue to work for company A if my H1 B transfer petition is approved ? Will company A come to know of the transfer if the transfer petition is approved ? Will there be any problems if I visit India and re-enter ? I have the H1-B visa from company A stamped on my passport (valid till Jan 2007).
Please advise. Your reply is greatly appreciated.

To the best of my knowledge, there should not be any problem until you join. However, your current I-94 expiration date applies.
