H1B Transfer, can I still work for Co A

If I transfer H1B from A to B, can I still be employed at A?
Is it more like "copy-paste" than "cut-paste"?

My understanding is as below :
Once you got a receipt notice and approval for transfer to company B and company A cancels your H1 B, then you can not be employed at company A.
 
My understanding was unless the Emp A WITHDRAWS the petition, you cannot be employed there again. Otherwise it is open. Or am I wrong - once you transfer, the Employer A cannot employ you unless they petition another (New) H1B????

Need to clarify this situation, please. Those who had similar situations, please respond!
