H1B Transfer - but work for past employer

Hi

I am working for company A with H1B. Company B is sponsoring my GC. With them the labour go approved and I-140 has been submitted in EB2. I haven't yet transfered my H1B to company B.

If I want to transfer my H1B to company B, is there any time limit to join company B?

Even after getting H1B transfer approval, if I continue work for Company A under their payroll, will it cause any problem for GC processing with company B?

At what point in time of GC processing, my payroll must be with Company B?

thank you
RK

------------------------that is ok. GC is for future job

------------------------you can transfer H1 any time and best option is to before you file I-485 or before I-485 gets approved. one can work with A on H1 and B can file GC and after GC approval you need to work with B.

Even after getting H1B transfer approval, if I continue work for Company A under their payroll, will it cause any problem for GC processing with company B?
----------------if you transfer H1 with B then you need to get paid through B .

At what point in time of GC processing, my payroll must be with Company B?
-------------------it is better to be with B before I-485 gets approved.OR once I-140 approved and I-485 pending 180 days then join B and invoke AC21

thank you
