H1b transfer after entering US immediately on a fresh H1

australia

I have a new h1b visa stamped on my passport from an employer A. Its been more than 5 months they didn't bring me to US since they are trying to get me a project.

Another company B who has a project is asking me to come to US on the employer A Visa. Company B is saying, after entering to US the next day they will file the h1b transfer.

My question is: Is it legally correct to enter in a company A visa and doesn't work for them and join the Company B on H1b transfer immediately.

Will there be any impact on my future US immigration pettions.

Your advise would be very helpful.

Yes, it is illegal.

Yes, it is illegal.

At the port of entry, you will be asked on why you didnt come much earlier.
Also they might contact your old employer A on this.
If they get a negative response from A you will be deported. (i know few people have been deported before.)

Also it is very difficult to get h1b transfer without the payslips from A.

Also remember that which ever company you work in usa should legally pay you (whether they find a project for you or not) otherwise you are considered "out of status" even if you have valid documents & visa.

So make sure you are being paid.

H1B sponsors

Hi, I am from Aus also and I was wondering how you find H1B sponsors. I have a degree in Environmental Science and am in the US at the moment. Probably not supposed to be looking for work but I am. Hopefully you can give a little advice and maybe some contacts. Cheers
