H1B Tranfer

have been a regular reader of your website. It has always provided me with answers to all my queries.

I have a specific question that I have in my mind. I have been in US earlier on L1B and this year I came here to US on a fresh (first) H1B after a gap of 6 months. On this H1B, I am still on bench and the employer, say A, is paying out bench salary through the pay roll.

Now, can I get my H1B transferred to another employer, say B.
a) If so, what all documentation is required?

b) Someone told me that it is required that you get two or more pay stubs showing working hours from B. Will the bench pay stubs (showing no working hours) work?

c) Will initial offer of appointment from A be of help in this case?

d) also please suggest any other document that can be of help.

Thanks in advance for your help.....your response shall be of great help

If you are doing H1B transfer...just do it with the current paystubs. You won't get paid in bench for longer time. Some companies mention working hours in the pay stub and some don't. That doesn't really matters.

Thanks Satgym73 for that information......but the bench salary is always less....so will tht hv any effect??......can there be a "request for more information" notice on such a case asking for current pay stubs from employer A with the min. required salary for that state?

Waiting for response....Thanks

I have seen a case where person came to US and within 15 days of arrival filed h1-b transfer w/o any paystubs. If you file transfer immediately probably you don't require stubs. better check with an attorney.

Thanks for ur reply......Any idea, hw much is the processing time for a tansfer - both premium n normal?

Thanks
