H1b tranfer and subsequest stamping ? unitednations ,gurus feedback

have H1b renewal till 2009 with present company, changing jobs in March/april and filing for h1 B transfer
1. is it okay to go to canada or mexico or bahamas for Visa stamping ( after H1b transfer is approved) but before i join the new job( i have US degree and all other documents) but obviously would not have new W2 stubs
2. the reason why i want to do this is to go to India for a vacation for 1 month and my new employer would not give me this long a vacation , so can i get the visa stamped in advance of joining new job ,go on vacation and come back ( i do have AP and EAD, but as precaution want to keep my H1b current)
3. lastly is it safe to Get the visa stamped in India in current scenario

---- you will need New employer job letter, better do get stamped in Canada or Mexico

( i have US degree and all other documents) but obviously would not have new W2 stubs

how safe to get H1B transfer / stamping before joining job, i have all the documents but want to get the stamping done before joining the job, is it routine and safe to do that
