I currently have H1B and am thinking to change my employer. My prospective new employer might offer me with J1 visa instead of updating my H1B with them. I have read on USCIS web site that it is possible to change status from J1 to H1B. However, is it possible change my status from H1B to J1 and possibly to H1B later? If possible, does this changing status back and force between H1B to J1 make me harder to obtain H1B for the second time? Will you please help me with this question?
