H1B to Green Card

I have some few questions:

1. After getting approval on H1, how long you have to wait to apply for Green Card based on employment?

2. While GC application is filed, can you travel with AP? and if so, do you then have to apply for stamp (H1) on your passport, since your case for GC would be pending that time?

3. How Long does it take to get green card based on employment after applying? which center has the biggest backlock? and which is the easiest?

4. About Automatic Revalidation, if someone with H1 visits canada and then try to travel to a third country from there and come back to USA through Canada...is this possible?

---depends when your employer files first step of GC and first step is LC, employer can file LC any time
2. While GC application is filed, can you travel with AP?
--- Employer files LC if that LC gets approved then employer filed I-140 and you file for I-485, EAD, AP (if your PD is current to file I-485) you need to get AP approved in hand before you go out of US. AP is approved only if I-485 is pending
and if so, do you then have to apply for stamp (H1) on your passport, since your case for GC would be pending that time?
------- it is better to remain on H1 till I-485 gets approved but if I-140 gets approved and I-485 is pending more than 180 days then one is safe to use EAD and it all depends upon the situation at that time if one should remain on H1 or use EAD
3. How Long does it take to get green card based on employment after applying? which center has the biggest backlock? and which is the easiest?
------ go to DOL site you will know about LC prosessing times for particular state, then go to Service center page and read the processing times
4. About Automatic Revalidation, if someone with H1 visits canada and then try to travel to a third country from there and come back to USA through Canada...is this possible?
-------- Automatioc Visa revalidation is only for Canada , Mexico if your trip to Canada or Mexico is less than 30 days if you go from Canada to India or other country then no automatic Visa revalidation
