H1B status

I work as a consultant for a consulting firm. If there is a lag period of one month between two projects then what should I do? What will happen to my H1B status?

---------- ask for the payment. keep the evidence of any email/letter that he refuse to pay. DOL will recover your payment if you lodge a complaint against him
What will happen to my H1B status?
--- if he pays you then you are on H1 status

Employer needs to pay you as you are on his H1. That is employer problem if he has project or no project. He did not wrote on petition to USCIS or on LCA that he will pay only if project (H1 petition would have been never approved). bench on H1 is not allowed, by not paying employer is violating H1 law/regulations
