H1B status/ H4

I am on F1/OPT and expect to get the petition approval I-797 (Notice of action) for H1B soon. My wife is in India. Do I have to get my H1B stamped before she can apply for an H4?

A month back when we got married in India, her F2 was rejected on grounds of financial stability (because I had plans to go back to school after the OPT). Does that rejection have any adverse impact on her getting an H4?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Yes, first time H1 holders better get the h1 stamp. U mean financial instabilty>
Yes f2 rejection will have an impact on h4. But if U use a lawyer (afer rejection of h4) generally U can get through...

Thank you Jaxen for your advice. Yes, it was on the grounds of financial instability!

Now, I am not sure if I should go to India or go to a neighboring country for getting my visa stamped. I had gone to India last month to get married.

Another related question...

My residence and passport is from Delhi region and her's from Calcutta region. If I do decide to go to India, can she go with me to the US consulate in New Delhi and apply for the H1B and H4 together there?

Thanks once again.

H1B/ H4

Thanks, Jaxen, once again. You have been a great help.

What would you suggest I do? Should I go to Canada and apply for my H1B and then send all the paperowrk to my wife in India for her to apply for H4? Or go to India with the paperwork and apply together there?

A related question... Is it true that in case of rejection, you can still reenter from Canada but not from India?
