H1b Stamping after Canadian Immigration- Urgent

My passport has H4 Visa stamped on it which got expired in July 2004. However I am carrying a valid i797( H1B approval)
Recently our application for Canadian Immigration got approved. We would be going to canada to obtain landing certificate. I would like to know if anyone has an idea/ experience with my queries below

1. After taking the landing certficate, would it be possible for me to get my first h1b Visa stamped in Canada.
2. After taking the landing certificate , would there be any issues if I visit US Embassy in my home country( India) to get my first H1B Visa stamped on my passport.

The answers to the above two questions would help me to decide if I need to get H1b visa stamped before taking landing in Canada

Please respond me as I am very confused and worried.
 
1. You would be able to get H1b stamped in Canada. Be aware that there may be a long wait to get an appointment at a consulate in Canada. (www.nvars.com)
2. There wil not be any new issues pertaining to Candian PR if you apply for a US visa in India.
