Dear All:
I have an issue I need help with. I am currently on H1B status. I changed my status from J1 to H1B in the US and has never left US since then. On my J1 visa, it said clearly "not subject to 212(E)". 212(E) is 2-year home country residency requirement. I successfully changed my J1 to H1 2 years ago. Now I need to visit my family overseas and so I have to get an H1B stamp at their US consulate. I am worried if they might reject to issue H1B visa based on the fact I was on J1 before in spite of the fact that my J1 is not subject to home country residency requirement.
Please share your opinion with me. Thanks a lot!
