H1B - resigning and joining another employer

I am on H1B since Apr'03..working with the same employer..

I have got an offer from another employer..who filed for my H1B and also received the approval.. validity: 6/12/06 to 4/23/09

I am planning to join my new job from 17-Jul-06..I have few questions about resigning from my current employer..

Can I stop working with my current employer one week before (Last working day 7-Jul-06) I join my new employer? Would my status remain valid during that week?

What should be my last day on resignation letter..last working day (that is Friday, 7-Jul-06) or Sunday(9-Jul-06) of that week?

Strictly speaking, no. you fall into out of status.

Any time after start date with new employer.

do u mean that my last working day with current employer should be after 17-Jul-06 (the day, I start working with new employer)? can u work with two employers at the same time?
