H1B Renewal/Extension

Hello friends,

Currently I am on H1B visa. My current visa will expire on Nov 2nd, 2002. As I haven't crossed 6 years on H1, I am planning to apply for extension. Could you please tell me what are the documents I have to send? Can I apply on my own? or do I have to go through a lawyer? Please let me know. Your response will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

U need a lawyer

In fact your company has to apply for extension. Some wait till the week before expiry to send the extension request some send it earlier... Documentwise it is same as new h1.

All the different I129s, your I94 copy and paystubs. U also need an underlying LCA valid (or extend the current one) which should be done before you apply for h1 extension.
