H1B received late

My current H1B was expiring on 20th august 2006 so my employer filed an extension for H1B on 16th august 2006 and gave me a receipt notice received from INS but when I search with this receipt id on the uscis.gov site it shows that the I129 PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER was received on August 25, 2006.

Does this mean that the Department got the application late and would this be a problem in getting an extension ?

Please anyone let me know.

No. Your application must have reached early but it went into the system Aug 25, 2006. There will be no problem.
