H1b problem , please advice???

My H1B transfer was approved on Jan 14 and was mailed to me. Meanwhile my lawyer changed address and she says INS mails will get fwded to her. Some people say INS mails do not get fwded.I was wondering if I could leave the country- have to go to India for urgent matter, on my prev company H1B and come back with new H1 B stamped ( my lawyer will mail me new H1B to India) , will this be legal. Any risks?Pls advice

No worries mate

You don\'t have to prove any company specific h1 while going out. All you will do is surrender the I94. But be sure to get the stamping for comapny B in the passport becos if you try to enter with company A stamp and company B approval was already mailed, your I94 is screwed up...
