Here is my story. I applied for my H1B visa July 11th, the last day before the quota was reached. Then I decided to come to the USA just for a short vacation. However I made a mistake and I came to the USA with a one way ticket.
I got stopped in America because they thought it was suspicious that I only had a one way ticket. I explained to them why (i had frequent flyer miles and was planning to buy another one once i was in the states). but immigration didnt believe me. They almost sent me back, but I was able to purchase a return flight with my phone and so they allowed me entry to the USA.
Now I would like to go back to America again to visit my friends while my H1B is still pending. I thought I would get an answer by now because it has been 90 days. But still waiting.
My questions is, is it advisable to visit the USA again while my visa is pending? with a roundtrip ticket of course this time.
