I have been on my H1B for a little over one year. I am now married to a US citizen and we just returned from our honeymoon. If I understand it correctly we can now apply for my GC. Is there a website of a forum thread that describes the required H1B -> GC procedure step-by-step? I am looking for a list of all forms and documents (inluding payment fees ans such) that we will need to submit.

I believe that we can fill these forms out on our own, but I would like to hire a local immigration attorney to go over the papers afterwards to make sure that we filled everything out correctly. Is there a website that lists these immigration attorneys locally (looking for someone in the Phoenix, AZ area).

When we file all the papers does it matter which office we are going to file at? I heard that some offices are quicker than others.

Thank you for all your help.

Hi. You will need to file a I-130, I-485, and I-765 if you want to work, and an I-131 if you want to travel while your paperwork is being processed. Please note that you can file all of these forms simultaneously. Processing times vary by region. I believe fees are less than $200 for your case, a lot more if you hire an attorney.

You can refer to the following website for all the information you need:
