Hi,

I am with an employer who sponsored my H1B. I had invited for an in house project, unfortunately there was delay in project kickoff. So my employer put me in client place for different project. Due to which, a year later my petition got revoked. Please suggest me the actions from my side and the impact on me as its not my fault.

Thanks in advance...

This is an unclear question. There is no such thing as an "H-1B I-140". An H-1B is a nonimmigrant work status. An I-140 is a stage in the sponsorship of an immigrant worker. Different things. If the H-1B is still valid, and it is the I-140 that got revoked, you can continue working under the H-1B legally and your employer can file a new I-140. If it is the H-1B that got revoked, unfortunately you can't legally work anymore and will need to file a new H-1B ASAP for the new project.

Were the job duties for the two projects really that different? What caused the petition (H-1B or I-140) to be revoked? Usually these petitions are written in such a way as to offer some flexibility, so people can move from one project to another, as often happens, without the petition getting revoked.
