H1B / H4 Questions

Hi Guys,

I have a friends who is on H1B and his wife was on H4 and later on his wife applied for H1B visa. Since he wants to apply for H1B extension, does he needs apply for his wife's H4 visa extension or not ? After getting H1B she never worked. If applied for H4 extension what happpen to H1B ? or if not applied for H4 extension and doesn't job for a long time.

Any thoughts...!!
 
Right now your friend's wife is on H-1B status right? So no point in investigating whether he needs to extend her H-4 status or not.
