H1B extn petition: Receipts awaited

Hi,
My H1B extension was filed on Dec 20th 2004 (received at CSC on Dec 22nd according to FedEx). It has been more than a month, I am still waiting for the receipt notice. Is this delay normal? Who should I contact to inquire about my receipts?

Any input on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks !
 
This is not normal. You should get the receipt within 6-7 business days. My receipt date was 11/26/04 and I got the receipt on 12/06/04. My case got approved on 01/22/05.Talk to your attorney. INS will mail it your attorney.
 
H1b question- urgent

My H1b- I129 got approved 01/22/05. It was done thru a consulting company.

In the government website it says it will take 14 days for the reciept to arrive. When will I get my I-797?

If the I-797 goes to the company's attorney, are they required by law to give it to the employee.

Would appreciate information regarding this

Yes, I got the receipts after about 4 weeks. Maybe sooner, my company didn't tell me when they received the receipts. It is likely that the receipts arrived earlier but they were too lazy to inform me.
