H1B extension validity

Please advise me...here is my situation:


If i do extension and transfer with one company and I don't move to that one....... is extension still valid with my current company OR do I need to apply again for extension with my current company?

Once you apply for extension and transfer with a company X, upon approval of your petition you are actually an employer of that company.
