H1B extension Timeline

Hi,

My husband's H1B expires in Feb 09
and he has already applied for extension in Nov 08.

any idea on the timeline - how long are extensions taking these days.

it takes 3-5 months.If file with premium process then one can get in 20-25 days.
you can check his service center processing times.

also what happens to driving license.should we wait till we get the extension to renew the license.

should we file extension of H4 after that ?

--check your state MVS or DMV site
should we file extension of H4 after that ?
-------------H4 extension was supposed to be filed with H1 extension. if not filed then file H1 extension before the H4 based I-94 gets expired. for more info talk to your lawyer .
