I have applied for my H1B extension just a few days before my I-94 expires. I understand I can stay in US since USCIS received the request for petiton. My question is for some reason if the H1B extension gets rejected and my I-94 is already expired...will I be considered out of staus...is there is a time limit before which I have to leave the country

Regards

If your H1 extension petition reached USCIS BEFORE I-94 expiry date then you don’t need to worry. Check with lawyer for the extension filing receipt

Thanks but my question is of a worst case scenario where my extension gets rejected...
