H1B extension .. can I request another I-797 copy and i-94 copy from USCIS directly?

HI.

I recently got my H1B visa extended but my employer has not given me my I797 copy nor my I-94 copy and holding it back which is not right. They have also not provided my LIN/Receipt number... Please let me know if I can directly approach USCIS to obtain another copy of my H1b Visa (i-797) and I 94 based on my name and ssn.?

Please advice.

---------if you are still working with that employer then employer is supposed to give you H1 extension approval notice with I-94 that is attached with H1 approval notice. If you have asked for H1 approval and I-94 what was the reply? Post the name of employer and company information
