H1B Extansion and Vacation

My Visa is getting expired on 31/July/2011. And am planning to apply for VISA extension in the month of February first week (i.e. 6 month before VISA expiry).

Mean while I am planning to go for vacation from 23rd of April to 28th of May. Please let me know if can go to India in this time with the receipt and come back before my VISA gets expired(31/July/2011).

And let me know if can stay here in US once i come back from INDIA after my VISA expires till i get the approval.

------------Your H1 is going to expire on 31/July/2011 and your I-94 is also going to expire on 31/July/2011. your Employer is going to file H1 extension February first week. That is ok.

---------------You can go and come back with the valid visa that you have in your passport till 31/July/2011. Take the H1 Extension filing receipt with you and I dont think they are going to ask H1 extension filing receipt as you will have Valid Visa stamp and will get New I-94 till Visa validity.
And let me know if can stay here in US once i come back from INDIA after my VISA expires till i get the approval.
