I applied for H1B extention and INS received it on Aug 03.
Currently Nebraska processing center is processing application submitted by Jun 23rd 2004(according to 21st october update) https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/Processtimes.jsp?SeviceCenter=Nebraska. If all goes well my H1B extention should be done by Dec 1st and I am planning to leave for India on Dec 4th.

I know this is very risky plan as I am dependent on H1B approval by Dec 1st, another choice I have is to go ahead and change my extention processing to premium processing by paying 1000$ to INS.

Does anybody has any ideas, which will help me make a much better decision.

Thanks,
Kiran

For my 7th yr H-1b visa extension approval it took 3 months 10 days from NSC. I sent the application in Mid June 04 and got the approval at end of Sept 04.

If you would do premium processing then it will take probably less than 15 days for the approval.

You can wait for another couple of weeks and see and if it doesn't get approved, then you can go for premium processing.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck!!

Hi

It already passed 3 months 4 days and still no answer yet and they don't seem to update their website too.......
I hope I don't have to pay 1000$ bucks more for it.

Anyway Thanks for the reply
