H1B expedited service - is it legal for employer to ask me to pay?

Hi

My US employer is going to deduct the cost of processing an expedited extension ($1000) from my pay. Is it legal for them to do this? My understanding was that they must pay the complete fees. State is PA, if that matters.

Well as per this link, either the benificiary or the petitioner can pay the fees.
