H1B & EAD - quitting work

Hi,
My wife is on H1B and received her EAD Card. If she were to stop working and take a break for a while -
does she need to go back to H4
do we need to intimate USCIS in anyway that she is no longer working and on EAD

Once she decides to take up a job again; she would use the EAD...

----> Only if she wants to re-enter US on H4.....else her stay legal as her AOS is pending.

---> She should be fine to work on EAD.

Only in the case if she is a dependent applicant for 485 then she can stop working. No need to inform anyone but she will loose her H1B status. To work in the future has to use the EAD.
