H1B/EAD go together ?

I have my EAD (not GC yet) and still on H1B with my employer
Lets say if my employer allows me to do parttime..
can I use EAD for parttime and still continue on H1B ?
(I thought ONLY if I use EAD for my prime employer then I
 lose my H1B status)

If you use EAD it will invalidate your H1-B status.

Nope. If you use EAD, you loose H1 status. To get back to H1 status, you need to apply as a new H1 not transfer.

It\'s no matter where you used your EAD, with your employer or outside of sponsoring employer, once using EAD means abandoning H1 status.
You may ask who is going to verify whether you used EAD or not, I got no direct answer for that, but it is the law.

As soon you start using you EAD .... you loose your H1 status and can not take back your old H1 ....
