H1b Doubts ???

Hi,

My H1b visa next year end. And my PP contains visa stamped of my previous company and I-94 expired this year march. I am planning to visit India and get my PP stamped with H1b visa of my current company.

So my question, is it this situation called Revalidation or Renewal ?

And what are the documents required ?

Please advice me !

I think its called revalidation .. hmm .. what ever it may be .. Going to india and stamp .. forget it man .. do you want to stay back in india .. :) sorry .. i am rude becasue of this consulate peop0le .. Sorry raj .. dont go india .. do the revalidation here in usa .. thats a good idea ..

If Raj2010 did not submit any Fake degree from South India for getting H1 then no problem getting Visa stamp from India. Only Chennai consulate create problems because most of the fake degrees and EXP letter were submitted from that area

Actually i shld have done stamping here itself. but problem is my PP H1B visa stamp expired this year , march. so i think, i have to go out of the country to get stamped again.

so planned to visit india...

ginnu...i don't have fake degree and certificates...

other than chennai consulate , which consulate u suggest to drop ..... I am from south india..

Please advice...

I have read that most of the visa refused due to mismatch between W2 and LCA...

Could u please tell me what i need to check whether is there any mismatch between W2 and LCA.. ?

---- it happens in Chennai consulate in India, you are eligible for visa revalidation in US from DOS (link posted above) if you revalidate in US then they don’t ask for W-2 or LCA you only need to pay the fees, send your passport, Photograph, Employer letter and form DS-156 and DS157 (if you are male between age 16-46)

---- Check the LCA and the wages written on it, if your employer never paid you that minimum amount and your W-2 reflects less than the salary on LCA then you may face problem in India for visa stamp
---- If sending to DOS in US no need of LCA or W-2 they don’t need these documents read the DOS link I provided you. If you want to get H1 visa stamp from Chennai Consulate in India then read the other threads lot of info has been posted

I checked my W2 and LCA. In my LCA employer has given, 44,000 and in W2 i can see STATE ,WAGE,TIPS as 43,200.78 and rest i can see FEDERAL Inc.Tax,STATE Inc. tax, Social Security tax withheld...

Could you please tell , is there any mismatch , by which u can have problem ??

---- Your LCA has 44000 and on your W-2 it is 43,200.78, it is less than the LCA but it is only about 800, you may have taken any unpaid vacations. I don’t see that 800 will matter to any consulate.
The problem I do not understand is why don’t you send your PP for revalidation to DOS in US? If you are asking for your wife who wants to get H4 from India then why don’t you be clear in your posts? In other thread you are posting about Spouse H4 from India and at the same time you are discussing your Revalidation. Why cant be straight and clear?
 
ginnu, thanks for the reply. Sorry for the confusion. Actually I have already taken ticket to visit india on next month beginning. that's why i was asking abt w2 and LCA . And I have already postponed my travel and spend money to postpone it. now this time also , I think i have to spend money again to postpone or cancel my trip. (:

thats why i was planning to do my stamping in india . So all the questions asked.
