H1B cap issue

Hi,

I have a question about H1B. I missed the cap by one day and now my employer says he would try processing a J1 and file a H1B on April 1st for the forthoming year.


I am currently on OPT. Is there any issue in transition from F1-J1 and J1-H1B. Do I have to go to india for my H1B transfer.?

ANy information on this would be really helpful.
