H1B cap for fiscal year 2008 for graduate students reached on 4/30/2007 according to the USCIS. Just ended sending my application one day late..............:(
 
did they already mail everyone's (on Masters quota) receipt? my company applied for me on April 2, and i am yet to hear anything. Are USCIS stilll sending H1 receipt on Masters Quota?
 
yes they are still sending the receipts, many of my friends got their eac no. on may 3rd. they filed their h1 on april 4th.
 
Hi guys,

I applied under Master quota on April 2nd and my lawyer told me today that I didn't get selected. I don't get it.

Any ideas?

Hello all,

I am in a similar situation as you all. My company applied for my H1 on april 2nd. I am yet to hear back from USCIS. I haven't got my receipt number as yet. I applied under the masters quota. Does anyone know how long does it usually take to get the receipt number?

Any help would be appreciated.
