DOS sent recommendation letter about my J1 waiver to USCIS on January 3 2006. I got USCIS receipt on April 4 2006. Still don't receive final decision from USCIS.
My sponsor filled my H1B in April, CIS receipt data April 25 2006. On June 17th I got notice from CIS requesting for J1 waiver. I sent a letter to CIS explaining my situation (don't have final approval). The online information showed they have received my response on June 20.
Does somebody know if it is possible CIS approve my H1B without final waiver. My J1 visa expires July 30. I only have one month left. If I can't get H1B by then, do I have to go back my homecountry?
