1996 Aug - I came to US with F1. My F1 was valid until 2001.
2000 July - I graduated, I got a job, and started to work using OPT.
2001 Feb - My H1B from company was approved and active.
2002 Feb - Start Labor Certification
2004 Feb - I extend my 2nd H1B (valid until 2007)
2005 Dec - Start I-140
I never renew my I-94 since I came to US in 1996.
I have never gone back to my home country since 1996.
My questions are:
1. Am I out of status?
2. Do I need to renew I-94?
3. On the bottom of letter "Notice of Action" for H1B1 Approval notice, there are 2 parts:
- LEFT: Receipt#, I-94#, NAME, CLASS, Valid from..., Petitioner...
- RIGHT: Numbers (I-94), Receipt Number..bla..bla..
So what is this? Is it the renewed I-94?
Please suggest if I need to renew the I-94, because I'm about to do AOS from DV lottery.
