hi, everybody

My 6 yrs h1b period will expire soon. So far I have a LC and a I-140 approved from my previous employer. Can I file the extension based on any of these? The whole thing was a while ago. No concurrent filing of I140/I485 back to then and I wasn't able to file my I485. What a pitty!

Thanks for your information.

**** best option for you is to file I-485, EAD AP, just attach the I-140 approval notice, or I-140 filing reciept from past employer I-140. Once you file I-485 you will get I-485 filing reciept, the day you get I-485 filing reciept file 7th year H1 extension, you will be OK.
** Now you will think that past employer will not give you the employemeny letter to be attached with I-485, dont worry it is NOT a problem, they dont check the letter if that is in file or not, only at last stage when they are going to approve I-485 they will dicover that employer letter is missing. wait 180 days from I-485 filing reciept then use AC21 or send new employer letter when they send RFE for the letter.
No need to inform your friends or past company lawyer that you are filing I-485, EAD AP AND before filing I-485 just go to BCIS Online status and check if still it shows your I-140 approved if it shows approved take the print out and keep it with you.
Thanks for your information.
