Hello,

My company applied for H-1B and willbe getting this stamped this October. I hold two nationalities - one is from a South American country the other one is from a country of the European Union - . My residence is at the South American country. When getting my visa stamp does it matter which passport do I use, can I use the European one??

Thanks!!

Your European passport wouldn't be Spanish or Portugese by any chance?
I personally do not see any issues. As long as you qualify for a H-1B visa, I don't think the local US consulate will insist on stamping a specific passport of yours. I was offered a choice by the US consulate in Montreal when I qualified for a K-1 visa.

well, it would be wise to look at your initial I-129 because on the second page, they ask for Beneficiary(you)'s place of birth and nationality. you must use the passport you indicated your nationality. it is ok to be dual national.

Thanks for your help. It is Spanish.
