I am completely confused ..... I pose a question and I am beseiged by a flood of questions :) Shall do my level best to answer some of them at least ...

The \'source\' of this is someone that ran into problems when getting his visa stamped. Does knowing the source make those questions any different ?!!

From you post if I may so conclude, I take it that there are no problems at all vis-a-vis getting your H1-B stamped in India.

Thanks again
Maddy

Please confirm

There should not be a problem getting your H1 stamped if you have all papers intact. By talking about horror stories, you might be scaring people who are going for a family cause in the near future, since this is holiday season. Please confirm why your friend had problems and help thousand of other people who look at this site for informatiion.

Travel on H1

Hi to everyone. My situation is very identical to the one that you r all has probobaly gone through. I am trying to go home which is Tajikistan for the first time after two years in US. I would like to know how can I get the stamp on my Passport for reentry or travel approval from US, avoiding the risk of the rejection in American Consulate back in my country. Please, give me some advise, really appriciate for that.

Not enough information

If you have a visa stamp in your passport that bears the same status that you currently hold you can have the visa revalidated (there are certain limits to this) in the US. If you changed status you will need to leave the country and have it done overseas.

H1 Revalidation at St. Louis

Does anyone know how long it is taking for getting H1B stamp at St. Louis. I sent my passport etc., and it was received at st. Louis on Dec 24th. When can i expect to get it back from St. Louis.

Check the other discussions on this forum

There is a separate thread for revalidation of visa at St. Louis. I believe it is taking 2-3 months at present.
