Hello,
This january I changed my company and also got the H1B transferred. The new I-797 issued is valid till 2008. I am also holding a valid visa from my previous employer till November 2005.
Is it possible for me to go outside US and return before the end of visa valid period i.e. Nov 2005?
Since I changed my employer, Do they insist on getting my visa stamped on the new employer's name before I come back?
Please suggest

Thanks

hi vd1111,

you don't have to get new visa stamp, u can use the existing one.
at the POE, show the new h1b and with the existing visa stamp.
double check your I-94, the officer at the POE should give I-94
till the validity date of new H1B.

I don't think so.....

Hi,

Any of you guys did this ..... I mean do you know of any one who did that.....

As far as I think we need to get it stamped once we change the employer...

If you have any information from USCIS please send me the link ...

thanks,
Meher
