Hi,
Here is a brief summary of my situation, any views/suggestions/opinions are welcome.Please help me.
1.I have a bachelors in mechanical engg, worked for 3.5 years as a mechanical engg.
2.Came to US in 1998, Visa expired in 2001 Aug, but never went back to India since Jan 1999.
3.American University Masters in aerospace engg
4.Got out of school with another masters in aerospace engg in 2004.
5. got my first h1 in oct (stayed legal till then on F1)
6. changed employer in Jan 05.
7.Changed employer in Jan06.
8.Currently working as a consultant for a trillion dollar portfolio finance company as a financial engineer/programmer.
Since I have a major in aero, I may fall in TAL. But I am currently working for financial company on H1. I have an appointment in Ottawa in Aug 21st for Visa renewal. Could anyone please suggest/advise me what are my chances? I am desperate to go to India which I have not visited for 7 years now. I don't want to take chances if I have to stay back Canada for unknown number of days. I want to get my stamping done. Is it a bad idea to go to Ottawa for my situation? please advise or share similar stories/situations.
