H1 Visa Stamping for Canadian PR

Hi,

Can someone please post their thoughts on my query. I would greatly appreciate it.

I am a permanent resident of Canada, working in US on H1. I currently do not have a visa stamping on my passport. So the recent rules makes it mandatory for me to get a visa stamping.

So my questions are:

Is it better to get this in toronto or india?

I have all my degrees in india...so will this cause any problems in toronto?

Also my green card process has been started in us. it hasnt reached anywhere...but the process is started. So on the DS-0156 form, what should i respond to:
Has anyone filed an immigrant visa petition on your behalf?

If my answer is Yes, does it mean it is grounds for denying the visa?

Also my ties to canada is not very strong. I used to live there a few years ago, but now i am just doing enough to maintain my residency there. So will this have any impact on me if i go to toronto?

Also is it possible that i mail my passport to india and ask someone to use dropbox there?? Or should i be there physically to use the drop box?

Can someone please post their views on this?

Thanks
Chai

India or toronto should not make any difference. Being a Canadian PR is definitely an advantage. Just have a contingency plan of traveling to India to get the H1 stamp , if toronto denies. Also think of other canadian cities like calgary where Indian Degrees are not a big issue.

If your 130 or 140 is pending then answer is yes. If it LC then answer to IV Q in 156 is No
H1 enjoy dual intent and a yes answer is not grounds for visa denial.

If you satisfy minimum residency requirements that is enough.
