H1 Visa Ques

I am not sure if this is the cirrect forum to post this ques. I'm on H1B visa stamped in PP valid until 30-June-2010. My H1 extension got approved recently and valid until 2013. I am planning to visit my home country and come back US before 30-June and am NOT going to apply for visa stamping. I am thinking of getting new I94 with validity until 2013 while returning to US. Is it safe to travel with fewer days of visa validity in the PP?. I heard lot of people have done in the past but not sure. Also I will be in transit via CDG, Paris and wondering if they will create any problem as US visa in PP will expire very soon. Thanks in advance for all your answers.

My H1 extension got approved recently and valid until 2013.
-----with your extension approval notice you may have got the LATEST I-94 attached(lower Right side and same color as of Approval notce)

----- if your Passport is going to expire Get new passport copy as the I-94 can be till Passport validity only . If you have valid Passport till 2013 then at POE show the valid visa stamp that is valid till 30-June-2010 AND also show your H1 extension approval notice and you will get I-94 till Extension approval notice . Better enter US 5-6 days advance of Visa stamp expiry so that if any flight delay you reach Before Visa stamp expires.
