As many know, NY state has one of the worst requirements for unlimited license to practice medicine for H1 visa holders, I am in a situation where I finished my Waiver requirement for three years in the designated HPSA and got my I140 approved but hit with the Retrogression effect by 12 days for appying I140, I moved from my previous employer after fulfilling waiver requirement to a new Hospital which still qualifies for a limited license,
I just finished talking to Mr.Swanson , from DOH NY ( a very nice gentle man who is always helpful to J1 /H1 visa physicians in directing appropriately), as per Mr. Swanson, NY state will not issue an unlimited license to anybody who do not have a an actual Green Card, even if they have just EAD, this was kind of surprising. Can somebody give me some info on NY state extended license ( unlimited) so I can work in other hospitals.
Thanks in advance
