H1 Visa Expires Nov 14, 2004 - Pl Help

Hi Guys,
I had a quick question. My H1 visa in my passport expires Nov 14 2004. I am planning to take appointment at Toronto Consulate on Oct 14. Is this ok? My new extended H1 is valid from Nov 15, 2004 only. I read somewhere in this forum that i can only take appointment at any of the canadian consulates 10 days before the start of the validity of the new H1.
Your valuable inputs would be highly appreciated

I would say call consulate & let us know your experience.
