H1 Visa and Canadian PR Card

Here is my situation. My first H1B visa expired on Feb 15 2006 and I have an approval for another 3 yrs. My 140 is approved and I485 is pending and I need to go to Canada to get my PR card before July 31. I have an appointment at US consulate for H1B stamping on July 13. My concerns are :
1) Will there be any issue since I will be coming to Canada for Permanent residence and my I485 is also pending.
2) Is it advisable to travel to Canada for H1B stamping or try to get an extension from PR deadline.

--------------- US immigration has nothing to do with your Canada PR.
your US GC is PENDING and not approved, after US GC approval it may create problems for if you Land in Canada

--------- Canada Landing date cannot be extended. if you have landed and just want to visit Canada to apply for PR card then you can do it any time.
Please advise

** if you visit Canada less than 30 days and dont apply for Visa stamp you can come back to US with valid I-94. read or search for"Automatic Visa revalidation"
