H1 visa a part time

HI,
I had a H1B visa and got laid off last week. I have another employer willing to sponsor but only part time. THis works out perfectly as I am also planning to go to school in September. Can the employer get H1b visa if I only work there part time. I will be doing the same work as my previous employer.

Hi Niraj,

I had a similer question in my mind some time back. But all answers I got were No, you can\'t do that. You have to be a full time employee, similer to being a full time student if you were on F1.

h1b part time

Hello NK,

I just called my lawyer and he thinks that part-time sponsorship is ok. I don\'t know what to believe, I guess there is no reason for my lawer to give me wrong informtion if he thiks that won\'t work and he has done for many in the past.
