H1 Valid until 2005 Jan - Can i send my wife for H4 ?

My H1B is Valid until 2005 Jan - Can i send my wife for H4 ? .Someone confused me that i need atleast 6 month valid H1B period for getting H4

six months passport validity is required, not H1.
