H1 transfer

I am not very clear on this subject so please help.

I want to use Ac21 to switch job(company B) due to backlog.

My 6th year H1 expires in oct/06. My company A just applied for renewal for another 3 years.

I would like to do H1 transfer with company B. I have EAD but want to be safe.

Question:
(1) Can I do H1 transfer with company B while company A just applied for H1 extension?

(2) Can I do H1 transfer with compnay B and get my H1 extended for another 1 or 3 year? Keep in mind on oct/06 I will be end of 6 years on H1 status.

I am also in same situation. Can anyone please let us know whether H1 transfer is possible in this situation.

----------- best potion is to upgrade pending H1 extension with Premium processing and once you get the H1 approval notice then file H1 transfer. Or wait till H1 approval extension is approved.

------Yes
Keep in mind on oct/06 I will be end of 6 years on H1 status.

--------- your H1 ext is is Pending through A at this time. if you file H1 extension through B and file through premium processing and also attach the copy of H1 ext filing reciept you need to contact your new company lawyer or YOUR lawyer

I have been with this company with 6 year and just when I thought I could break free......

(1) Can I switch after RECEIPT for H1 extenstion with A? I am still under legal H1 status until oct/06. Premieum processing is out of question with A , since that it will raise eyebrows.

(2) Are you suggesting to apply for H1 transfer with B using premieum processing and attach RECEIPT for H1 extension with A with it?

------------- yes and lawyer will write cover letter to explain the situation

Ok...there is still a hope.

Aside from original question.

(1) Does H1 transfer take same amount of time as H1 extension which is about 4 months?

(2) Does the H1 transfer process is straight forward as H1 extension?
