H1 Transfer

Hi Everyone,

I got my H1 through a IT consulting company in October 2004, but things haven't worked out as expected, and I am not working and still trying to get involved into a project. This situation is killing me, and has made me to look for a job in another company, who will have to submit an H1 transfer to the USCIS, so I can start working with them.

My wife also got her H4 visa on October 2004. (We went to the same consulate interview), but she is outside the US, just waiting for me. I need to start working and making money so she can come to the US.

My question is: If I get hired by another company and I get the H1 transfer, my wife can still use her H4 visa (issued in 10/04), to come here to the US, even though the company I will be working for, is different of the 1st one who sponsored our visas initially?

Our visas would have the written the name of the initial company. We have to get them replaced with new ones?

Thanks a lot.

--- yes she CAN use the Valid H4 visa for entry to US even if it has past employer info on it

----- if you get H1 transfer approved and get I-94 attached with approval then you dont need Visa stamp you can work, next time you go out of US you can get visa stamp with new comany name
Thanks a lot.
