I have my h1 visa from a university before and recently transferred to an another university.My problem is i didn't get any receipt when i started my job from 1st of sept 2004 and the human resources department told me that they have filed my h1 and its ok to start working for them.
Its been 3 months now and do not have the receipt number in hand till now and human resources have run my paycheck until nov 30th.
When i asked them about my h1 receipt last week , they (itseems) have called the processing center and INS reported that they didn't receive any documents supporting my h1 till now .
So my qns is
1) did i fall out of status for all those 3 months?
2) however, I do have an H1 from another software consulting company which was filed on august 13th 2004 and approved on sept 20th 2004 with a starting date of 1'oct 2004 and do have any pay paychecks running on this h1 visa till date.
Can someone help me in this regard?
